Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in coming back to the Premier League has lessened and he is open to discuss a new deal with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is presently two years through the four-year deal he agreed to when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the summer of 2023.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would like to see Kane return to England, where he needs 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England captain has now suggested that he is no longer as enthusiastic about going back home as he once was, and would certainly contemplate lengthening his stay in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could certainly see that," he stated.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be open to talk and have an honest conversation.

"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so progresses and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the quickest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, securing the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.

"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
